What we enjoy so much about these trips is that you instantly feel right here in the moment. Your focus shifts to the now and your surroundings. The lack of phone reception brings us closer together and creates a deeper connection. A connection between nature and the group, pushing through an adventure of one of a kind together.
Our gear is packed in sleds ('ahkio' in Finnish) which we will pull behind us. We haul everything we need, to stay comfortable, warm and well fed. There are no marked trails we follow.
For the skis we use special metal-edge Nordic touring skis made for long distance, off-track skiing. Don’t worry, you don’t necessarily need previous skiing experience. You’ll learn it all and quickly see progress over the week.
