What we love most about these journeys is how naturally they bring you into the present moment. Your focus shifts to the rhythm of skiing and the beauty of the Arctic surroundings. Far from phone reception and everyday distractions, meaningful connections form — with nature, the group, and the experience itself.
Our gear is packed into sleds (“ahkio” in Finnish), which we pull behind us as we travel through the wilderness. Carrying everything we need to stay warm, comfortable, and well-fed, we move independently through the white, beautiful landscape.
We use special metal-edge Nordic touring skis designed for long-distance off-track travel. No previous skiing experience is necessary — you will learn the basics quickly and see your confidence grow throughout the week.
